about eric

the pianist

Eric graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in Piano Performance. His chamber music experience began in high school, when he was given a full scholarship to Madeleine Island Music Camp, where he was a member of a quintet which performed Schumann's formidable Piano Quintet. He played as a member of several groups at the University of Puget Sound, as a both a harpsichordist and a pianist, helping to arrange a concert of women's music and playing the harpsichord for a performance of Elisabeth-Claude Jacquet de la Guerre's magnificent cantata Judith on that concert.

Eric has collaborated with many vocalists and instrumentalists, performed as a solo pianist at venues from Seattle to Minneapolis to New York City, and has been a church music director for many years.

He is a first prize winner in the SPTA Concerto Competition, a second and third prize winner in the MMTA Competition, and a finalist in numerous other competitions.

By day, he works as a software engineer.
